Here at Cobalt HR, we work hard to maintain a positive learning culture. Over the past few years we’ve welcomed a number of interns into the team and are proud to have helped them in their career journeys.
Since today is National Mentoring Day, we’ve decided to reflect on some of our former interns experiences with us! In this blogpost you’ll hear from two of our former HR Assistants, Boris Savov and Paige Yandle, who have some amazing things to say about their time as part of the Cobalt HR team.

Take a look at this video from Boris, our former HR Assistant. Boris began working with the company back in 2019 as an intern but soon became a permanent part of the team. He’s since gone on to continue his career in HR, which he says wouldn’t have happened without help from Cobalt HR’s Director, Kerry.
Some fantastic comments from Paige Yandle
“Within my internship as HR Administrator at Cobalt HR, I have been involved in tasks such as creating training packs/webinars to deliver with Kerry (the Director of Cobalt HR), undertaking employee engagement surveys for clients and providing a report on the results of such surveys, assisting with the creation of recruitment adverts and job descriptions, and ensuring that administration is co-ordinated and handled efficiently. I have also been included in planning charity events, such as a coffee morning for the MS Society, where I gained networking experience which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have also gained an array of skills, such as teamwork and collaboration in working with other colleagues to produce work for the company’s newsletters and training events. I would also say that I have gained project management skills in creating important documents for clients, such as handbooks and surveys.
The internship has made a significant difference to me and my career by providing me with the opportunity to begin on the career ladder. I am extremely grateful to Kerry for giving me the chance to gain hands on HR experience which I feel that I would not have gained anywhere else. As a result of my experience working at Cobalt HR, I have recently been offered a position as a HR administrator for another company, where I plan to continue my career in HR and develop my skills further. I definitely think that I would not have been offered this role if it wasn’t for Kerry and the opportunities and experience that she has helped me with.
Overall, I have loved working at Cobalt HR and the culture that comes with the work. My role at Cobalt has inspired me to achieve more and progress further in Human Resources, and I am extremely grateful to Kerry and the team.”
